I am currently reading Violent Ends by multiple authors, most prominently Shaun David Hutchinson. The book is about a teen named Kirby Matheson and how he walked into school and opened fire, killing six and injuring five others. The book is not a story about the shooting itself, it is about Kirby and how he changed from a good boy with friends to a school shooter. So far, the book has been extremely detailed and each chapter focuses on a very short period of time or event.
A main characteristic of the book is that each chapter is told from a different viewpoint. Each chapter is one character's insight into who Kirby was and who he became. Some stories are sweet, some are dark, and some seem unrelated. This book is about perspectives with Kirby and what he did drawing them together. Lastly, this book is written from eighteen different authors so each chapter has a differing voice.
